Christian Nähle ist Mitarbeiter des Umweltamts Dortmund im Team Klimaschutz und Klimafolgenanpassung und hat mir gestern die Geschichte der Open-Source-Saatgut-Stadt-Dortmund erzählt, die originellerweise auf dem Saatgutfestival Düsseldorf 2018 ihren Anfang genommen hat.

An ihrem Beispiel lässt sich nämlich das Bewusstsein für samenfeste, standortgerechte Pflanzen fördern, und zugleich wird mithilfe dieser gelben Cocktailtomate das Wissen, wie man Saatgut vermehrt, weitergegeben. Und wer sein eigenes Saatgut vermehren kann, wird frei davon, jedes Jahr welches nachkaufen zu müssen, was die Ernährungssouveränität fördert. Kurzum, die Open-Source-Saatgut-Stadt-Dortmund heißt, gemeinschaftlich in der Stadt gemeinwohlorientiert Saatgut zu produzieren.

Letzte Woche traf ich Johannes Stüttgen, der seine Aufgabe darin sieht, den erweiterten Kunstbegriff von Joseph Beuys weiterzutragen. In diesem Zusammenhang sprachen wir darüber, dass Arbeiten nicht zum Geldverdienen da ist, was eigentlich jeder weiß, dass wir aber zugleich von einer systemischen Ideologie genötigt werden, das Gegenteil zu denken.
Das Thema erwies sich als so ergiebig, dass schnell eine Stunde herum war, und unter anderem ging es um Freiheit, menschliche Würde, Gleichberechtigung, den Zusammenhang von menschlicher Kälte und der klimaerwärmung, und auch um die Ringegspräche, die außerhalb der Schulferien jeden Donnerstag um 19 Uhr im Düsseldorfer Stadtmuseum stattfinden.
